Juan Posada

Just got back from Dallas (White Rock Marathon) after having run New York City Marathon (4:16) a month ago. Needed all the help I could get to maintain my average for the year (4:12 Grandma’s). I managed a 4:14, even though the weather was a big factor for me. On Saturday (83 degrees), I ran a 5k in 24:07 and felt great. Woke up Sunday to 46 degrees and a constant drizzle with winds of 10-20 MPH. I felt pretty good through the first 22 miles. First time that I have run with a jacket on as I could not get my body temp up to par. Needless to say, my leg muscles suffered. The course had its challenges. A six mile slow climb, 10 miles around the lake with the temperature dropping and the wind blowing, and a ¾ mile climb at mile 19 with a relative changing altitudes the remaining 7 miles. Overall, I felt really, really good. I had plenty of energy left, except I did some temporary damage to my legs by pushing through the cramps. I will redeem myself the second week of January at the Mobile (AL) marathon, where I hope to break the 4:00 mark and set the bar for the rest of 2008. The schedule includes 4 marathons, 6 Olympic Tri, 1 Half Iron Man, and a 24 hour bicycle endurance event. Although I have previously tried many products to enhance my running performance, I think that taking the Muscle Fuel 30 minutes before start time really helped my overall race and recovery. I am happy with the results and will continue to use it in the future. It tastes great, too!
