Great race Saturday! I loved the entire course - the swim too...my problem in the water was due to lack of training. Can you believe that alligators never even entered my mind during the swim (amoeba's did once I got water up my nose!)?!?!?!?

Rob suggested that I send you a photo from the race - I'm passing along the link to my running blog instead b/c there are a bunch of pictures on there as well as our family site from the TRI...he thought you might like to use any of it on your be a difference maker site. :) www.padgettrunning.blogspot.com or www.supercoolpadgetts.blogspot.com - that is where the pictures of your family at Sela's party are too.

The race was super fun - Buttar events have come a long way...I'm really glad that I've had the chance to get to know you guys and be a part of your events. We will miss not seeing you guys as often once you are up in NC.

Your event staff was super. The staff in the water were totally motivating. I think that I may have given up if they hadn't been so encouraging. I'm really grateful for them - I would've hated for my family to see me give up! Thank you thank you thank you!

Also - Your talk before the swim was great...really encouraging. The part you said about "fantasizing being in a tri and actually being in a tri" was great...it hit home for me. You know I'm a big "talker". :) I loved seeing you during the run - maybe b/c you are a family friend or maybe b/c you are an athlete and you knew just what to say..."go catch the 2 in front of you!" - I did it and then some...so THANX! This event was really awesome - I know you guys put a lot into the events and I for one and grateful! I look forward to my next race with you guys!
