Bill Wenner

Z - wanted to share this with you.

I have been training to do longer and more challenging races this year and 3 events I have decided to take on were the Bud Light Challenge at Gasparilla, Crazy Legs Relay and a 50k Trail run.

Bud Light Challenge is a 15k run Saturday morning at 7:30a, 5k run at 9:30a same day - 1/2 marathon the following day - cumulative time decides the winner

Crazy Legs Relay - 70 miles 5 person relay throughout central Florida trails and roads
50K - Trail race in Brooksville

Of course each of these races will present it’s own challenges but a big concern for the BLChallenge was the ability to run a hard 12.4 miles one day and recover in time to run another 13.1 hard miles the next day. Here are the products I used to ensure a proper recovery:

Race formula:

Spark - upon waking up
Muscle Fuel - 1 hour before each race, before starting warm ups
Rehydrate - while warming up and between races
Catalyst - 15 minutes before each, walking to start line
Nighttime recovery - before bed each night before each race
Muscle Recovery Shake - after my light run Friday and after dinner Saturday night and after Sundays race.

Every day products: (besides the above)
Antioxidant Plus
Joint Promotion

So what were the results:

15k - 1:01:47 (6:37 pace) - 16th AG out of 345, 129 OA/3590 (top 3.5%)
5k - 19:14 (6:12) - 5th AG/355, 64 OA/6542 (top 1%)
1/2M - 1:27:15 (6:42) - 6th AG/163, 31 OA/2058 (top 1.5%)

Combined time (25.5 miles) - 2:48:11 (6:35 pace) - 6th overall in combined time, 2nd in age group

I recovered so well between Saturday and Sunday that I ran negative splits on miles 7-10 and 10-13.1 - mile 9 was a 6:20 in the half marathon. This week I will continue to use Nighttime Recovery and Muscle Recovery shakes along with some very light training to get ready for the 70 mile relay this weekend - this weekends run will present similar challenges because the legs are approximately 6 miles in length so time between running will be a couple hours.

Just thought you wanted to good info to share with the team.
